Students who require a visa to enter the UK must attend a full time course of at least 15 hours of supervised study a week. Students from the EU do not require a visa to enter or study in the UK. Students who wish to study English for more than six months need to apply for a student visa.

On recieving payment for tuition fees, NECS will send students a Certificate of Enrolment Letter, as well as a receipt confirming payment. This letter will contain the start and finishing dates of your course and expected date of arrival at the school.

Students should either send or take the school letter together with payment and a recent bank statement to the British Embassy in their own country in order to obtain a student visa. NECS will issue students, who are already in the UK and wish to extend their visa, with a school enrolment letter and a Student Visa Appication form. However, students already in the UK need to send or take their passport and Student Visa Application form together with payment to the Home Office.

Students at NECS will be expected to attend classes every day from
Monday - Friday. The school keeps attendance records of students and if required, this information is passed on to the Home Office. Students are reminded that they are required by law and have a responsibility to attend more than 90% of their classes in accordance with the stipulations of obtaining a student visa. Students who do not attend the school regularly may have their place withdrawn by the school and risk the possibility of not having their visa extended if they wish to study further in the UK. If students have any queries regarding the issuing of visas then our staff will be more than happy to help you. NECS will assist students in the process of applying for a visa without any charge.
